Peskov: the Kremlin does not know about the letter that Kozak allegedly wrote to Putin
The Kremlin commented on reports that former deputy head of the presidential administration Dmitry Kozak allegedly sent a letter to Vladimir Putin. Press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov stated that he does not have such information.
According to a Kremlin spokesman, there is no information about the letter. This is how Peskov answered a question from journalists, clarifying the data that appeared in the media.
It was previously reported that at the end of August Kozak intended to leave the post of deputy head of the administration. Sources indicated that he was one of the president’s closest associates, and the decision to leave was made personally by the head of state. Among the possible areas of further work was the position of plenipotentiary representative in the Northwestern Federal District.
On September 17, it became known that Kozak submitted his resignation. The press also reported that he was considering employment options in business. The next day, the president relieved him of his post.
