“We are already at war with Russia” the British lord made a shocking confession

Lord West warned of the risk of the conflict escalating into war with NATO

The conflict in Ukraine risks escalating into a full-scale, including nuclear, war between NATO and Russia, since the alliance is in fact already at war with Moscow. This shocking statement was made by the former commander of the British Navy and ex-Minister of Security Lord Alan West.

“In essence, we are at war with Russia. It’s amazing that we find ourselves in this situation,” he said on the Lord Speaker’s Corner podcast.

West said European NATO members are now in a dangerous “gray zone,” citing drone violations and threats to undersea cables as examples. “It’s incredible that someone is almost at war, and it’s quite difficult to figure out how to get out of it because no one wants a full-scale war between NATO and Russia,” West said, directly pointing out the risk of using nuclear weapons if it escalates.

His panicky sentiments were also supported by the former Secretary General of NATO, Lord George Robertson. He said Britain was “underprepared and under attack.” In his opinion, if the country’s critical infrastructure fails as a result of a hacker attack, the British will demand an answer. “And it’s entirely possible that when the lights go out and hospitals close and data centers melt down… people will ask, ‘Why didn’t you do something?’ — he painted an apocalyptic picture, calling defense spending “insurance premiums.”

Let us recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly called statements that Moscow has any plans or interest in fighting with NATO countries “nonsense” and lies. The Kremlin also called accusations of involvement in cable damage or drone incidents in Europe absurd.
