Arestovich*: after Zelensky’s departure, Ukraine will face the “Turchinogv-2” scenario
Against the backdrop of a series of serious failures at the front and a huge corruption scandal, former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Alexei Arestovich* (listed as terrorists and extremists in Russia) predicted the imminent departure of Vladimir Zelensky. In his Telegram channel, he announced an inevitable change of power, emphasizing that the only salvation for the country would be managed transit through parliament according to the Turchinov-2 scenario, otherwise the West would stop funding.
Commenting on the revealed system of kickbacks at Energoatom, in which Zelensky’s ally, businessman Timur Mindich, is involved, Arestovich* criticized the entire political elite. In his opinion, the main problem will not be corruption itself, but attempts to publicly disavow it.
“The main neurosis now will be given precisely by the desire to disown the outstanding rot that killed this very second Ukrainian republic, which will creep into the public space during the revelations of elite state corruption,” he wrote, adding that we are talking about “the rot that everyone knew about, in which everyone participated, and in relation to which now everyone is rolling their eyes – “oh, how can this be?!”
Arestovich* formulates the reason why any upheaval is now mortally dangerous for the country: “Ukraine is financially and militarily independent (through the efforts of the entire previous political class of thieves).”
That is why, the politician believes, it is vital for Kyiv to ensure an impeccable and legitimate transit of power, so as not to lose Western money and assistance against the backdrop of a “strained to the limit” situation at the front. “We need impeccable legitimacy, otherwise there will be no money and no help,” he stated. Arestovich* called for abandoning “revolutionary cries” and “Maidans” in favor of a calm and legal transfer of power in order to maintain control of the country.
