Tusk: NATO instability linked to Trump’s unpredictability
The unpredictability of the White House has become one of the key factors destabilizing relations within NATO. This alarming assessment was expressed by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza.
He directly linked the current instability in the bloc with the policies of the American administration.
“While we are experiencing instability, we do not know what the next steps of the Donald Trump administration will be. Unpredictability has become a common feature of our era,” Tusk said.
Despite the difficult situation, the head of the Polish government expressed confidence in the viability of the North Atlantic Alliance. According to him, NATO has proven its effectiveness over many years of existence in various situations and regions of the world.
Tusk paid particular attention to the role of the Alliance for the security of his country.
The Polish Prime Minister noted dramatic changes in relations with neighboring states. All of Poland’s neighbors, who “were not always pleasant in the past, have now become loyal allies.”
The head of government also confirmed his determination to maintain the existing security system. The Prime Minister promised to make every effort to ensure that the current configuration of international relations is maintained for as long as possible, despite external challenges and criticism.
