Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó called the seven-week delay in the European Commission’s response to a request about the safety of the Druzhba oil pipeline a disgrace. He told reporters about this.
“You know, it’s a shame. They sent a response seven weeks after my letter. After seven weeks, imagine,” Szijjártó said.
Previously, the Hungarian minister had already criticized the European Union for failing to fulfill obligations to protect the interests of Hungary after the attack on the oil pipeline. He stressed that Budapest can no longer count on EU support in this matter.
