Newly crowned Miss America is ridiculed by cruel trolls over ‘questionable’ makeup
Miss America has a new face - but not everyone thinks it was made up properly.
Cassie Donegan, 27, was crowned Miss America 2026, after winning the state title in New York in July.
However, the blonde beauty was ridiculed for her makeup after she was crowned - with cruel trolls taunting her for wearing the wrong shade of concealer in a video shared by the official Miss America account following her win.
In the clip, posted to TikTok, the glamorous contestant was seen walking towards an elevator backstage.
Cassie dazzled in a stunning white open-back gown, complete with a high slit and sparkling glittery bodice.
She then spun around and flashed a smile toward the camera as the elevator door closed.
When it reopened, filmed after the pageant, Cassie emerged in a different ensemble holding a massive bouquet of long-stemmed red roses and wearing her Miss America sash and crown proudly.
While she looked ecstatic with her new title, critics slammed her makeup artist for not color matching her makeup to her skin tone.

'Congrats love! Let's get you a new makeup artist,' one user commented on the video.
'Love it but we need to have someone fix her concealer. It's a bit too white and drowns her out,' another person wrote.
'Her makeup is questionable,' snarked another, in part.
'Is it just me or is her makeup off?' someone else asked.
'Who did her makeup?' one questioned.
Others argued Cassie's makeup wasn't actually that badly done.
'Her makeup is literally good the bright lighting just alters the appearance,' someone defended her.
Another agreed, writing: 'It genuinely did not look bad lol. But okay.'

Cassie spoke about the importance of being true to yourself during her rapid-answer round, discussing 'authentic self-expressions' in professional settings.
'I believe that being true to yourself 100 percent is the most important thing that you can do, and if that includes your self-expression through piercings or tattoos, then 100 percent do it,' the winner responded.
'I think that no one has the right to tell you what you can do with your own body. This is your vessel, and you should be able to walk around proudly in it.'
'Miss America has always been a powerful springboard for ambitious women to turn their dreams into reality,' Cassie said in a press release.
'I am honored to represent an organization that provides scholarships, resources, and a platform for women to lead — and I'm deeply grateful for the chance to bring that mission to life.'
Cassie is a singer and actor and won an award for her vocal gifts after the Miss America 2026 Talent Competition.
