How MAGA star and ex-beauty queen Lindsey Halligan is rising through Trump’s ranks in style
Donald Trump‘s new MAGA legal eagle, Lindsey Halligan, is making headlines for her role in investigating former FBI director James Comey – and she’s already rising through the ranks in style.
Halligan, 36, a former beauty queen, is rapidly emerging as a presidential favorite and will now have the task of probing Comey, who remains one of the people her boss loathes most in the world.
Prosecutors have been evaluating whether Comey lied to lawmakers during his congressional testimony on September 30, 2020, related to the investigation into ties between Russia and Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
As US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Halligan will take charge of separate criminal investigations into Comey and another Trump nemesis, New York Attorney General Letitia James, who has denied accusations of mortgage fraud.
And, so far, it looks like she’s taken a cue from Trump’s other leading ladies, like Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and Special Assistant and Communications Advisor to the President, Margo Martin.
Halligan has been sporting the same fashion designers that are a favorite of the women working in the Trump White House.
Last month, the lawyer was spotted speaking with a reporter outside of the White House while dressed in a $735 white, boucle blazer-dress by Self-Portrait, a British designer often worn by Trump’s aides as the unspoken ‘MAGA uniform.’
The dress that Halligan picked out for the occasion featured a fitted, long sleeve blazer top adorned with gold and pearl buttons, a peplum hem, and a pencil skirt.

Halligan completed the look with a pair of dangling pearl earrings, pink manicure and pink smoky eye.
Self-Portrait is a favorite among the ladies in the White House, as both Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump and Karoline Leavitt have been spotted in their designs.
But Halligan seemed to keep things a bit more trendy and casual when she accompanied Trump to the 2025 U.S. Open Men’s Finals in New York City.
The 36-year-old chose a cream-colored, matching blazer set from contemporary brand Reformation as she watched the match.
On top, she wore Reformation’s $278 Wren Blazer, which has short sleeves, tortoiseshell buttons, and a fitted waist brought together with a tan leather belt.
She paired it with matching, cream-colored Rori mini shorts from Reformation, which are currently sold out, but retailed earlier this summer at $128.
However, the star of the show appeared to be her cream-colored Hermès Birkin 25 bag with gold hardware.
The bag is one of the most sought-after models made by the French designer, and can retail at resale for over $75,000.

First Lady Melania Trump also owns the Birkin 25, hers in a black shiny Niloticus crocodile.
At the U.S. Open, the lawyer matched Leavitt, who was also in a cream-colored suit.
Over the past few months, Halligan has also appeared to have largely kept things quite simple, wearing a lot of monochrome looks.
In March, she appeared in the Oval Office in a navy blue suit with a cropped blazer, wearing a subtle, barely-there makeup look.
In June 2023, she sported an all-red pantsuit with flared pants as she accompanied Trump to the Department of Justice in Washington.
She’s even taken a page out of Kate Middleton’s book before, as she wore the same pale blue, sweetheart-neckline dress designed by L.K. Bennett in collaboration with Royal Ascot.
Halligan wore the dress in September 2022, when she joined Trump for an appearance at the Brooklyn Federal Court.
Middleton, on the other hand, wore the garment in June 2021 after visiting The London School of Economics.

And now that Halligan is set to be in the spotlight more than ever in the coming months, it will be interesting to see what designers she chooses from.
It’s possible that she’ll even branch out into some of the other White House favorites, like Veronica Beard.
Before becoming a lawyer, Halligan competed twice in Miss Colorado USA, making the semi-finals in 2009 and finishing fourth in 2010.
At the time, Trump co-owned the Miss Universe organization, which ran the pageants.
Halligan told the Washington Post earlier this year: ‘Sports and pageants taught me confidence, discipline, and how to handle pressure, on the court, on the field, on the stage, in the courtroom, and now in the White House.’
Later, she graduated from the University of Miami with a law degree and served in the city’s public defender’s office, before working on insurance cases as a partner in a private firm.
