Gemini AI may soon let you organize work with Projects

Google is working on a new feature called “projects” for its AI platform Gemini. This will help users organize their work better, much like a similar feature in OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The feature was first noticed a few weeks ago, and it looks like it will be ready soon.

The new Projects feature will let users group related documents, files, and notes in one place. In ChatGPT, projects work like smart folders where you can store different files and give special instructions for each project. This helps keep ideas and tasks organized and separate.

Google’s Gemini projects might work the same way or be similar to Google’s NotebookLM. NotebookLM lets users create notebooks by uploading important information and links. But Gemini will have projects inside the AI chat app to make it easier to use.

In the latest Google app update, a new “Projects” option was found in Gemini’s menu under “My Stuff.” Right now, it looks like you can only create projects on Gemini’s website, not on the mobile app.

Aside from this, Google is also making it easier to start and manage chats in Gemini. There’s a new “New chat” button at the top of the chat screen to start conversations faster.

Next to each chat title, a new menu lets you share, pin, rename, or delete chats quickly. Before, these actions took more steps. The app’s sidebar has a small change as“Apps” is now called “Connected Apps” to show how Gemini works with other Google services. You can also share chats directly from the sidebar now.

These features are currently under testing and are not available to everyone yet. But they show Google is working hard to make Gemini easier to use and more organized.
