Details of the incident dates back to February 25, 2023, when a 24-year-old girl claimed sexual assault by Hakimi inside his home in Bolon-Biancourt.

According to the plaintiff’s account, I got acquainted with Hakimi by communicating on the social networking site Instagram, and after a virtual communication between them for more than a month, their first meeting was in the player’s house, after a “Uber” car seized her to transport to him, and there, she claimed that she was subjected to sexual harassment and assault.

She stated that Hakimi kissed her on her mouth and on other parts of her body without her desire or consent. She said that she objected to the player’s behavior with her, but he continued to harass her and raped her.

She said that she was able to push the player with her foot and left the place while she was shocked, and she sent a text message to her friend asking her to help and attend to take her. This was later confirmed by her friend to the police. The alleged victim also provided investigators with text messages and other evidence that support her statements.

On the same day, the girl went to a police station on the outskirts of Paris to testify without a formal complaint at the beginning. Then she provided the police, who were carrying out a preliminary investigation, with her mission letters to her friends, attesting to her painful condition after the accident.

On March 3, 2023, Hakimi was officially charged by rape by an investigation judge, and he was placed under judicial supervision, after he was detained by the police and the public prosecutor opened a judicial investigation.

For his part, Hakimi denied during the investigation sessions all the accusations against him categorically, confirming in all stages of the investigation that he is a victim of extortion.

On December 8, 2023, the player faced the girl for the first time in the office of the investigating judge. This allowed the young woman the opportunity to repeat her charges, which the player exiled.

Throughout the investigation period, Hakimi defended himself and talked about the theory of conspiracy that the girl had for him to achieve financial gains. This is what the girl denied.

In an interview with a blogger in January 2025, Hakimi said: “The truth is that when you succeed and things go well, it becomes an easy goal for some people, and this matter has learned that you cannot trust a lot around you.” He added: “They wanted to blackmail, and for this reason we filed a complaint, and things are going well. The judiciary dealt with it well.”

Hakimi’s lawyer also talked about a “blackmail attempt”, but by asking to refer the case to the criminal court, it seems that the Public Prosecution has believed the claim of the claimant.

Commenting on this, her lawyer said: “My clients receive this news with great satisfaction,” stressing that “nothing in this case suggests an attempt to blackmail.

She added: “We will not tolerate any distortion campaign, which unfortunately happens often for women who have the courage to report the rape that they have been victims.”

The matter is now due to the investigating judge to confirm or reject the terms of the final indictment submitted by the Public Prosecution, and the player may face a prison sentence of up to 15 years if he is convicted of rape.

For his part, the Paris Saint -Germain club confirmed its support for its player Ashraf Hakimi, stressing his “confidence in justice”, while Hakimi’s lawyer confirmed that its client is fixed on his position and his psychological state is good and optimistic that the matter will end in his innocence.
