Maduro: Venezuela’s ruling Socialist Party will defeat US threats and guarantee peace to the people

The ruling United Socialist Party (USP) in Venezuela will defeat the imperialist threats of the United States and guarantee peace to the people of the country. This statement was made by the President of the Latin American state, Nicolas Maduro, at a meeting with the leadership of the political force.

“The United Socialist Party of Venezuela is in an excellent position to guarantee peace to our people and defeat the threats from the empire that seeks to get its claws into Venezuela, Colombia, South America and the Caribbean,” Maduro said, referring to the United States.

The head of state noted that no one will be able to deprive Venezuelans of the right to freedom and independence, since the people of the country will decisively respond to the “criminal and insulting” US threats to turn Venezuela into an American colony and start a war in South America.

Maduro also said that the weakened right-wing opposition, serving the interests of the “imperialists from the north,” has almost completely disappeared from political life in Venezuela. The country’s leader pointed out that the far-right opposition survives solely on “bloody dollars coming from the imperialists.”
