North Korea welcomed Pete Hegseth to South Korea with a salvo from an MLRS

North Korea launched 10 MLRS missiles during Hegseth’s visit to South Korea
The day before, November 3, North Korea launched about 10 MLRS charges towards South Korea. This happened during the visit of Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth to a country neighboring the DPRK. This was reported by the Yonhap agency.
Hegseth, accompanied by South Korean Defense Minister An Gyu Baek, visited the Joint Security Zone on the border of the two Korean states. It is noted that such a visit from the United States took place for the first time in the last 8 years.
The South Korean military said that its northern neighbors fired about 10 shells from MLRS in the direction of the Yellow Sea. According to them, this happened almost an hour before Hegseth arrived.
They also reported that a similar incident occurred during the Saturday visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping. He met with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung in Gyeongju. The agency notes that such salvos do not contradict UN Security Council resolutions.
