Samsung will now tear down and rebuild your cabinets for new appliances

Samsung launched a new service in South Korea that aims to solve the biggest headache of buying big appliances. On September 23, the company introduced its new “Home Appliance Cabinet Remodeling Service.”

The new service is available upon purchase of big appliances like refrigerators and kimchi refrigerators that require custom cabinets. Samsung will tear down and rebuild your cabinets for new qualifying appliances.

The service is currently available for refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, and ovens, with plans to expand to include washer-dryers and robot vacuums in the future. Preliminary measurements and consultations are provided free of charge.

Samsung’s “Home Appliance Cabinet Remodeling Service” is backed by Samsung Logitec’s official furniture remodeling partner. It covers the dismantling of existing cabinets and reconstruction, as well as product installation and after-sales management.

The teardown and rebuild cost of existing cabinets is the biggest headache when purchasing select big appliances. Getting it done by a separate service provider incurred additional costs and extended the installation by 10 days.

As the Home Appliance Cabinet Remodeling Service is here, Samsung will now offer quick and accurate construction within an average of 7 days by a dedicated installation team with a high understanding of the products.

The company offers a 1-year after-sales service warranty, with free after-sales service for up to 5 years for issues like sagging upper cabinets. Buyers are offered various remodeling options to suit their tastes and space utilization; options include:

  • Basic Type for installing the appliance alone
  • Storage Type for maximizing space with additional storage cabinets
  • Home Bar Type for creating a stylish interior

Jeong Se-hwan, managing director of Samsung Electronics Korea, said, “This service is a differentiated integrated offering that allows customers to experience both home appliances and interior design at once, from purchase to installation and after-sales care. We will continue to introduce innovations that enhance the convenience and satisfaction of our customers’ lives.”
