Warnings from a fake channel on “Telegram” bearing the name RT

The RT channel indicated that two manifestations of Ukrainian speaking tried to deceive a woman working on the channel via a fake channel on Telegram, and directed her humiliating phrases.

Details of the fraudulent scheme:
The fraudsters created a fake channel on behalf of the RT channel, and added to the conversation Tatiana, which was using the archive of the channel previously. By chatting, they asked her if she received a digital entry code, and when she answered “no”, she had a message from “a digital bot that is supposed to belong to the Russian government Goslugi service.

When the woman moves to the conversation, a barrage of messages received extremist insults and slogans, leading to personal threats. She also received a call that is supposed to be from the Goslugi service, where the caller presented himself with a Ukrainian accent as a security officer, and told her that a person was trying to penetrate her accounts on the platform. Then a similar message appeared on the WhatsApp application, prompting Tatiana to end the call immediately.

For its part, the Russian governmental Goslugi platform confirmed to RT that it is impossible to log in to the platform accounts via external means, and that the fraudsters are trying to deceive the victims to obtain their entry data.

The platform experts explained that the service is never connected to the users directly, and does not request the re -communication, and does not use chat robots, but rather has one digital assistant called Max to answer the inquiries, and that only the official website is Goslugi.ru. Also, all official messages carry specific email addresses:

The platform stressed that the service icon for the service is a secret icon for the user only, and any party requesting this symbol may be a fraudulent body.
