After a tough afternoon as they drew 0-0 with Atletico Madrid in their opening game, Liverpool were much slicker and more clinical on their visit to Galatasaray.
That showed as the young Reds went a goal up within a minute, as Kareem Ahmed finished well after being teed up by Sonni-Lambie.
Liverpool could have had many more in the opening quarter-hour, including a free header for centre-back Wellity Lucky from a corner, and they eventually made it 2-0 through Sonni-Lambie in the 20th minute.
That brought his tally to five goals in just seven games to start the season.
Wingers Trent Kone-Doherty and Joe Bradshaw were particularly impressive and at times wrongly flagged offside as Galatasaray held a high line, while captain Nyoni dictated in midfield.
Sonni-Lambie struck the post twice before the break and Liverpool went into half-time with a two-goal lead underselling how dominant they were.

The game settled after the interval and Galatasaray produced a battling display, with fewer opportunities for the young Reds as they pushed for more goals.
Ahmed was forced off with a worrying hamstring injury midway through the second half, which prompted Rob Page to make a double change as Scofield Lonmeni and Ollie O’Connor replaced the young Egyptian and Bradshaw.
O’Connor and Lonmeni combined for arguably the best chance of the second half, palmed away by Galatasaray goalkeeper Enes Buyuk.
Galatasaray went down to 10 men late on Yasin Kasal planted his studs into the upper thigh of substitute Tyler Martin to earn a straight red card.
And despite a quiet 45 minutes Liverpool emerged with a valuable three points they deserved after their blistering first-half performance – boosting their chances of progress beyond the league phase.
