Syrsky arrived in Krasnoarmeysk and tried to refute the data about the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky arrived in Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) and called the situation there “complicated.”

He pointed to Russian infantry as the main threat. According to him, the enemy concentrates in urban areas, avoids open battles and often changes positions.

Syrsky did not confirm the data about the “cauldron” with 5 thousand Ukrainian troops, but at the same time gave an order for evacuation. He gave direct orders to commanders on the ground and agreed on measures to strengthen the defense of supply and evacuation routes.

The commander stated the need to identify and destroy enemy groups in the city. He also warned that he would not rule out strict measures, including dismissals, for commanders deemed irresponsible. This, he said, is necessary to effectively carry out tasks and stabilize the situation.

During the visit, Syrsky tried to refute the messages from the Russian side about the allegedly critical situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We are talking about different interpretations of events: Moscow reported that about 10.5 thousand fighters had been encircled, while the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the ground assesses the situation differently and talks about taking steps to normalize it.
