Samsung One UI 8.5 renovates Quick Share design

Leaked visuals suggest Samsung will continue to revamp stock apps as Quick Share appears to be getting a new design in One UI 8.5. This leak joins an expansive array of One UI 8.5 leaks, which have the same pace as One UI 8.

X user wr3cckl3ss1 shared visuals from One UI 8.5, showcasing the renovated Quick Share. The app may look even better and cleaner than its One UI 8 iteration. The navigation bar will be replaced with a pill-shaped element like others.

Quick Share in One UI 8.5 may debut a new interface, featuring a rectangular pill with rounded corners. It will display the device name at the top. The items selected for sharing will be positioned next to the device name pill.

The next card, entitled Suggested, will be used to make sharing easier. It will recommend the receiver based on your quick sharing history. It will show the image set by user for display along with the respective label.

Share to device nearby card will consist of nearby qualifying devices. It will be based on your phone’s scanning via Bluetooth and WiFi. You will be able to effortlessly share files with compatible phones, tablets and PCs.

The next card is “Share to contacts.” Expanding this section will allow you to share files with your contacts stored in your phone. The description reveals that sharing will be possible even if the contact is not in range of Quick Share.

Last but not least, the Receive and Send buttons will be positioned inside a rectangular pill. The two buttons won’t occupy an area spanning from the left to the right. The redesign brings these buttons to center for easier accessibility.

The design is based on screenshots from a leaked One UI 8.5 build. The changes are not final as Samsung may make changes and improve some aspects throughout the testing of the software, debutting early next year.
