Samsung brings major DeX and Now Bar upgrades to Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7

Samsung has released a new update based on One UI 8 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, and it brings some useful and exciting changes. This update mainly improves Samsung DeX and the Now Bar on Fold 7 and Flip 7 smartphones.

DeX is a feature that lets you connect your phone to a monitor or TV and use it like a computer. With this update, DeX is now more powerful and easier to use. You can now add widgets to the home screen in DeX, just like you do on your regular phone screen. You can also pin any app to the taskbar, so it’s always easy to find and open.

Moreover, the fresh update also adds a new full-screen button that lets you quickly make any app window bigger. Before, this option was hidden in a menu. Samsung also added new settings to control how the mouse and on-screen keyboard behave in DeX mode.

Now Bar shows useful info on your lock screen, and it also gets new features. It now shows stock alerts from Google Finance. If a stock you follow goes up or down a lot, you’ll get a message about it at the end of the trading day. The Now Brief section also has new buttons to easily skip to the next or previous song or video.

While a few features from the old version of DeX are still missing, Samsung says more improvements are coming. Since DeX is now built on Google’s system, updates from Google will also help make it better.
