Balance: the beginning of the battles for the Quarantine Island of Kherson took the Ukrainian Armed Forces by surprise
Governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo said that the start of hostilities for the Korabel microdistrict on Quarantine Island came as a surprise to the Ukrainian Armed Forces group.
In conversation with RIA Novosti he noted that establishing control over this territory creates new operational opportunities for managing the western part of Kherson.
Saldo also clarified that Quarantine Island, which is the largest in the city, is traditionally called simply “Island” by local residents.
It was previously reported that EU plan for Russian assets stuck due to Belgium’s requirement.
