“610 days since the fall, 20 months of full time recovery,” she captioned the post. “Trying harder then ever to make gains.”
On May 26, 2024, Laverock’s mother Nicole took her to a hospital in Winnipeg, Canada, due to a “medical emergency” she experienced earlier that month. She was then transferred to a Vancouver hospital, where she “was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” according to a GoFundMe campaign her family created.
“She sustained life-threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support,” Nicole and her husband Rob said in an update on May 28, 2024. “We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”
Days later, Nicole told theLos Angeles Timesthat the actress was in critical condition, and while she didn’t elaborate on the injuries Laverock sustained, Nicole said her daughter was in “tremendous pain” after her body was “shattered” from the fall.
