Iranian paint reduces costs and preserves the environment

The company’s CEO, Farhang Azad, said that the new metal surface preparation technology provides a significant improvement in industrial quality and reduces environmental impacts compared to traditional phosphate coatings.

Azad added that the company, Schiller Freind Pars, has more than 20 years of experience and holds a certificate of appreciation from the Iranian Environmental Protection Organization, and produces all chemicals for anodized aluminum and electroplating processes.

He added that the company produces nanozirconium conversion coatings and hexafluorosirconic acid, is also the first producer of liquid tin nitrate in Asia and a producer of various metal casting additives.

Regarding the technical and economic advantages of nano-coatings, Azad explained that the use of these coatings reduces direct and indirect costs by no less than 25%, and the application is carried out at room temperature without energy consumption, compared to phosphate methods that require high energy and complex control procedures.

He pointed out that the lack of sediment and sludge formation is one of the most important differences between nanozirconia coatings and phosphate coatings, which reduces maintenance costs and increases the stability of production lines.

These coatings are also characterized by their ability to cover several types of metals at once, including iron, aluminium, zinc and other metal alloys, making them multi-metallic.

Azad pointed out the speed of the reaction of this technology, as the nanozirconia coating is formed in just one to two minutes, which enhances the productivity of manufacturing lines. He added that these coatings allow efficient use of water, ease of operation, simplicity in monitoring the process, with better results in mechanical tests.

Concluding his speech, Azad mentioned the industrial applications of these products, noting their use in the automotive parts industries, home appliances, electrical panels, and electroplating processes, with successful practical results achieved.

He stressed that developing and replacing traditional coatings with locally converted nanozirconia layers could play an important role in raising the quality of industrial products, reducing resource consumption, and pushing industries towards adopting environmentally friendly and sustainable processes.
