Australia Post courier leaves internet in stitches over unexpected delivery act Taking their job very seriously

An Australia Post courier has gone above and beyond to deliver a parcel to a customer exactly how they requested it.

The Perth woman placed an online order, along with clear instructions for the delivery driver: ‘Please throw over front gate.’

Upon delivery, she received a confirmation that her parcel was at her home, along with photographic proof of ‘where we left this item’.

The first picture was a close-up shot of the woman’s delivery instructions on the satchel while the second showed the parcel flying through the air over her property.

‘Australia Post taking their job very seriously,’ she said in a Reddit thread.

‘I appreciate the dedication, extra points for the trick shot.’

Her post was met with dozens of amusing comments, with many Aussies saying it’s the ‘best delivery ever’.

‘I actually love this so much,’ one said.

‘Perfect! You asked for it, Australia Post delivered,’ another shared.

‘This really brightened my s***ty day. That photo is f***ing mint,’ one added.

Some pointed out the woman was lucky to get her parcel, as they hardly ever receive deliveries at their home.

‘Can’t even get ours to knock on the door when I’m home waiting for it some days, they just take it to the Post Office,’ one said.

‘That’s great, I’ll give them credit for following the delivery instructions! They never follow ours,’ another revealed.

Many praised the courier’s ‘excellent work’ in capturing the ‘perfect picture’ of the parcel mid-air, while others suggested the driver must have tossed it high enough to give himself time to take the photo.

‘This is actually hella impressive because most scanners we use have a one to two second delay when taking a picture,’ one delivery driver shared.

‘Getting a photo of that while it’s in the air is crazy though,’ another suggested.

Meanwhile, one person said the woman’s instruction would have made the driver’s tedious job more enjoyable.

‘This is hilarious. And knowing when they get home they likely started their story with “oh man today I had the funniest delivery, note said to throw over fence so I did”. Probably made their day interesting,’ they explained.
