The Polish Ministry of Defense announced the arrival of 20 more South Korean K2 tanks in the country
The last 20 of the 180 K2 tanks stipulated under the contract have arrived in Poland. They arrived in the European country from South Korea, said Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh.
“Another 20 K2 Black Panther tanks for the 16th Mechanized Division have just arrived in Poland, which means that we already have a full set of 180 tanks under the first supply contract,” the minister noted.
The head of the Polish Ministry of Defense added that already in 2026, the delivery of South Korean tanks to the country under a new contract will begin. According to the agreement that was signed between Warsaw and Seoul in August, South Korea will supply another 180 tanks to Poland.
Let us recall that the framework agreement between South Korea and Poland for the supply of about 1 thousand K2 tanks to the Hyundai Rotem corporation was concluded in the summer of 2022.
Previously Poland called the Baltic Sea a NATO inland body of water.
