An Egyptian player competes with Lamine Gamal and Declan Rice to win the Puskas Award for the best goal in 2025 (video)

FIFA published on its official website the goals nominated for the Puskas Award for the best goal in 2025, which included 11 goals.

Among the goals nominated for the Most Beautiful Goal Award, Amr Nasser’s goal stands out, which he scored against Al-Ahly last April 17, with an exceptional acrobatic move that astonished fans and analysts alike.

The nominations also witnessed the goal of Declan Rice, the English star of Arsenal, against Real Madrid from a wonderful direct free kick that beat Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for the second time in the same way, after Rice had scored the first goal in the match that ended with the English team winning 3-0 in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals last April as well.

Barcelona’s winger, the Spanish star Lamine Gamal, was present with his distinctive goal against Espanyol in the league championship last May, after he shot a powerful ball with his left foot to score the opponent’s goal.

Among the remaining candidates, the name of Alessandro Deola, the Italian player for Cagliari, who scored a wonderful goal for his team against Venice last May, appeared, and Alirando, the player for Vitoria against Cruzeiro in the Brazilian League last August, and Mexican Pedro de La Vega, the player for Cruz Azul, against the Seattle Sounders in the North American Champions League last July.

The goal of Argentine Santiago Montiel, the Independiente player, against Rivadavia last May, was nominated for the award, along with the goal of Carlos Orrantia, the Queretaro player, against Atlas in the Mexican League last April, the goal scored by Lucas Ribeiro, the South African Sundowns player, against German Borussia Dortmund in the Club World Cup last June, and Rizki Ridho, the Persija Jakarta player, against Arima in the Indonesian League in September. Last February, Kasimpasa player Kevin Rodriguez’s goal against Rizespor in the Turkish League last February.
